Sometimes we get to work with really cool people. Like, really cool people… Such as Adam J. Kurtz, who recently hosted a party to celebrate his new ADAMJK x UO product collaboration, and six months since the release of his creative journal 1 Page at a Time. He invited DRY to said soiree, complete with amazing DJs Hazel Cills and @SoSadToday, uplifting temporary tattoos, beer, a GIF photo booth by the Bosco, autograph signings and more.
So who, exactly, is AdamJK? He’s an author, artist, thought provoker, and graphic designer. His chuckle-enducing website tells us, “He is primarily concerned with creating honest, accessible work, including a range of small products & the self-published “Unsolicited Advice” calendar series. He is the author of no other books. He currently lives in New York City.” Adam also happens to really enjoy DRY.
He recently released a new book entitled, “1 Page at a Time,” which is a daily journal/calendar/diary that’s meant to inspire creativity and provide a daily outlet for your thoughts, feelings, and ideas. We were lucky
enough to get our hand on a few copies and we’ve had a great time jotting, drawing (some of us better than others!) and having a guide to gently nudge us in the direction of trying something new each day.
Mr. JK also has a line of goods now available at Urban Outfitters. In true OU fashion, his items are cheeky, fun and accessible.
Now what was that about a party? Oh, right. Presented by Space Ninety and Tumblr books, the whole April evening turned into one wonderful collab. We were thankful to be part of such a fun event, full of inspiring and inspired individuals. Thanks for having us, Adam.
